Windows Live Messenger - Oh the crashes!

I've been beta testing the new Windows Live Messenger and boy is it crashing on me. It usually doesn't take long...just a couple of times of viewing the main messenger window and then minimizing it to the task tray and boom! There it goes. I gues that's why it's beta and I certainly hope they (MS) are putting my crash dumps to good use. I think I'll revert back to MSN Messenger 7 unless someone has a suggestion.
