Mac Security...Just sayin'
We've all seen the Mac ads and I think they're brilliant and funny. The most recent one about Vista and the UAC control is the best yet. Can't help but laugh. You can see them
here
if you'd like. One of the brilliant things about them I think is that although they're not really 100% accurate, it's pointless to even try and argue against them. The perception is there and it's reinforced by the ads. Great marketing IMHO.
That said, I saw an interesting post (
found here
) about Apple releasing a mega-patch fixing 45 security holes, some of them where the hacker could take full control of the compromised machine. This is the seventh security patch from Apple in three months. Bravo to Apple for making the fixes. That said, let's get a gut check and some intellectual honesty here. Security is not a Windows-only problem. It has the potential to hit any software system or OS since none of them are perfect. Just sayin'.
