My Cingular 2125 Vista Sync Problem
Since the early betas of Vista and the Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) I have experienced a nagging problem when trying to copy over large mp3 files to my Cingular 2125 Windows Mobile smartphone. Part way through copying the files, the device disconnects. This occurs while using Windows explorer to manually copy the files over and when using Windows Media Player 11's (WMP) sync feature.
I listen to lots of podcasts with my 2125 and this has basically ceased my ability to do so. Whatever I try, seemingly at a random point in the copy process, boom...lost the connection to the device and the copy operation fails.
Searching the net, I found
this article
...which confirms that others are having the same problem. Read the comments there and Gary from Microsoft confirms that this is being investigated.
According to Gary, this may be a problem with the Smartphone USB driver. I've been experience this problem for 6 months now and I'm really surprised it hasn't been fixed yet. Help.
