My New Hobby - Nikon D80
Santa (my wife) was very good to me this Christmas. He (she) got me a
Nikon D80 SLR
digital camera. This thing is the real deal. I've been using digital cameras since 1999 when I bought my first clunky Kodak point and shoot. I progressed on to a Minolta D-80 and then a Canon Powershot. But recently I've found myself getting interested in more serious photography, especially seeing The Scobleshow's
photowalking with Thomas Hawk
series. It really got me interested.
I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm trying. I'm hoping to take an introductory photography class at some point. In the meantime, I'm having lots of fun. The above photo is my best so far.
By the way, if you want to see more amazing photos from Thomas Hawk,
check him out
on Flickr.

Hey! Excellent camera. Great shots. You are our own, Ansel Adams. I did not know that you did this kind of thing. And btw, it was great to see Tim Haire make an appearance on the pine tar rag. I got 143 hits yesterday. Is that good? I don't think I know 143 different people. Yikes.
How's Patty and Jackster? Good I hope. We're hanging in there.
