Ray Ozzie Prediction

So, Ray Ozzie will eventually replace Bill Gates when he retires. I've lamented a bit about the lack stuff we've heard from him since he began blogging after initially joining Microsoft. I'm sure he's quite busy, as one would expect from someone filling such a big position, but I had hoped he'd be more visible and "out there".

So, why isn't he? Here's my prediction (albeit some may say obvious); He's working on a pretty big thing. I expect that he's working on some type of paradigm shift for the next version of the Windows OS. I have no idea what it is, but based on what I know of him, it will be quite a big deal.

Another prediction ;) The announcement will be big-time news in the blogosphere...then it will be roundly criticized as yet another promise from Microsoft that will go unfulfilled. His position and career will largely be judged on whether he can fulfill the promises he makes. Will be fun to see.
